HISTORY

Our Vidyalaya was established in 1987 and inaugurated by the former Minister of Railways. It is located in the Railway Colony in the historic town of jhansi, surrounded by the beauties of nature.

It is easily accesible to the children studying in the vidyalaya, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, promoting a very promising environment for teaching and learning.

It is a senior secondary Co-educational institute spread over an area of 15 acres. The school building is an impressive structure, housing classes I to XII and home for approximately 1325 students. It has science stream at +2 level.

The Genesis of the Kendriya Vidyalaya

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 was inaugurated in the year 1988 by the then railway minister Mahdav Rao Sindhia. The school started running in railways bungalows.

Important milestones of growth

1988- Inauguration of school in two railway bungalows.

1998- Handing over of new building.

1993- First batch of class 10th students.

2000- Merging of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.4 with this Vidyalaya

1995- First batch of class 12th.

2000- Additional Sections.

2013- Handing over new building additional classes.

Gradual Growth

1988- One section each from class I-V with seven teachers.

1993- One section added.

1998- New building with 24 class rooms.

2003- Third section added.

1995- Opening of class 11th and 12th (Science Stream)

2007- Additional section of 11th and 12th (Science)

Status of land

The school has 15 acres of land which was leased for 99 years. Land is being leveled to play for playground.
